## How do you create an audio mix on the Edit page in DaVinci Resolve?

The Edit page features a complete set of professional Fairlight audio controls. Adjust the level of any audio clip by clicking on the level bar in the middle of the clip and dragging up or down. The Inspector provides a level slider, pan controls, pitch adjustment, and a full 6-band parametric EQ. Change the level on an entire track using the track's fader in the mixer. The mixer has visual meters to monitor signal levels and ensure audio is not too quiet or loud.

## How do you use Fairlight FX on the Edit page?

Over 25 Fairlight FX plugins are available in the effects library on the Edit page. Apply them to individual clips for targeted processing. Key Fairlight FX include the De-Esser for reducing sibilance, De-Hummer for removing electrical hum, and Noise Reduction for cleaning up background noise.

Open the Effects Library and click the Audio Filters category. Drag a Fairlight FX onto any audio clip in the timeline. The Inspector shows the plugin controls. Adjust parameters and keyframe them for animated effects. For busy mixes, apply track-level effects by switching to the Fairlight page.

## How do you normalize and balance audio levels on the Edit page?

Right-click any audio clip and select "Normalize" to set the peak level to a target threshold. Normalize all dialogue clips to the same level before adjusting relative volumes. Use the clip gain line for fine adjustments — hold Option (Alt) and click to add keyframes, then drag to adjust levels over time.

The mixer at the bottom of the Edit page shows faders for every track. Use the track faders to set the overall mix balance between dialogue, music, and effects. The visual level meters show green for normal levels, yellow for approaching the limit, and red for clipping.
